It´s a very nice refuge, good for relaxing and visit lots of great Portuguese spots such like the natural pool of São Simão. Tania and Steve are wonderful hosts and the lodge is very beautiful, with all the required amenities. We recommend it to all our friends and hope to come back again.

We have really enjoyed our stay at the Lodge. Tania was not here when we arrived but a friend’s of her was here to welcome us. Tania arrived the day after and welcome us warmly. The lodge is really well located, in olive plantation. The house is well equipped, good layout. The pictures are exactly as in reality. The garden is really nice and tasteful : many flowers. The swimming pool was perfect : clear water, without chlorine, and perfect temperature. Really, a nice place for peaceful holidays, far from noise and bustle of the city.

This place exceeded our expectations. We were warmly welcomed by Tania and shown the house and pool area. She has a guest book that has tons of info about the place and surrounding area. She was always available to answer questions or give advice. The accommodation was spotless and comfortably layed out.
The place is peaceful and quiet but easily accessible to the whole region. We were grateful for the pool as the weather warmed while we were there. Tania and Steve have an adorable dog who comes to the window every morning and smiles at you. REALLY! He smiles. And that is a great start to the day. Can’t wait to get back to Ansiao!!!

July 2014″]Staying at Tania,s house was a real pleasure. Tania and Steve are really friendly, warm and funny people who are always willing to help out when needed but also respected our privacy. The house is amazing, we enjoyed the outdoor grill, the veranda, the smell of eucalyptus trees, the sunbathing area, the sounds of the owls in the woods at night, the pool and so on. There’s plenty to see and do in the Ansiao region and Tania,s house is located very central. We woud definitely recommend this house to everyone and cannot thank Tania and Steve enough for sharing their property with us. Great place, great people!

I had the most wonderful time with Tania & Steve at their wooden lodge. It is a lovely place in a nature park with lots of olive orchards, river beaches closed by and nice people. The house is perfectly equiped with everything you’ll need and decorated just lovely. It has an open kitchen to the living room, 2 bedrooms (double & twin) and a bathroom. The pool is really nice, just some steps down with beach loungers to relax and enjoy the tranquillity. Tania helps out with any questions around the lodge as well as things to do and see. They are great hosts and I’m already looking forward to go back! Enjoyed every minute!

Our stay at the Peaceful Wooden Lodge was fantastic! I honestly can’t think of of one thing that could have been better. The house itself it absolutely perfect. It’s clean, comfy, and has everything you need. The grounds are beautiful and the pool was fun and relaxing. Tania was a great host. The location is perfect. There is lots close by to do and see as day trips. We enjoyed our day touring the schist villages. Coimbra and Tomar are also close by. The Wooden Lodge was such a comforting place to stay and I would without a doubt recommend it.

The lodge was a lovely place to relax in between two citytrips to Lisbon and Porto. We loved the surroundings with the olive trees and the smell of the eucalyptus trees. The lodge has everything we needed and Tanya is a very friendly and enthusiastic host. It was a pity we only stayed for 2 nights.

We spent some very nice days in Tania’s wooden lodge near Ansiao.its a new house with lots of room and everything you need for cooking. The weather was bad (although Tania tried to change it) so the fire place was a success. Tania is a very nice and helpful person, just ask and she’ll be there!

Passámos 4 dias maravilhosos, o tempo deu uma ajudinha e ainda conseguimos fazer um churrasco. Esperemos conseguir voltar para o próximo ano.

Petit chalet très agréable dans une campagne tranquille. Maison très propre ayant toutes les commodités nécessaires et une très belle piscine. Tania est une hôte de premier plan. Nous avons adoré notre semaine. Petits chiens sur place qui sont très respectueux de notre intimité et qui ne nous ont pas dérangé.

Wir können die Unterkunft bei Tania und Steve von ganzem Herzen weiterempfehlen. Das Haus im Olivenhain ist traumhaft und durch den herzlichen Empfang haben wir uns gleich sehr wohl gefühlt. Séjour super agréable dans un chalet très bien équipé, aucalme dans un petit coin de paradis avec piscine ultra appréciable ! Un grand nombre de sites remarquables aux alentours ( Coimbra, Tomar, Oumer, Conimbriga, Alcobaça, Fatima, Nazaré…). De très belles Praia fluvials ( rivières aménagées pour la baignade) dans des milieux naturels pittoresques. Une belle rencontre avec Tania et Steve, sympathiques et très disponibles. Un logement à recommander fortement !!!
